A Blighted Life
Please join us on Thursday 26th March at hear Jill Campbell talk about Rosina Bulwer Lytton (1802 – 1882).
We will take a look at the colourful life and stormy marriage of Rosina, wife of prominent Victorian author and politician Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton of Knebworth House. Their early passionate romance soured into lifelong mutual hatred and recrimination. A story of family tragedy, libellous novels, a lunatic asylum and an unmarked grave.
We will be meeting at Walkern Sports and Community Club, with the talk starting at 7.30pm. Non-members, as always, are welcome with a £3 entrance fee, payable at the door.
