On the 27th November 2025, we hosted a party at the Walkern Sports and Community Club to celebrate all that the community had helped us achieve over the past two years. This included opening the Pigeon Hut and running all of the events for the HLF funded Women of Walkern Project.
We were delighted to welcome old friends and new, including our MP Chris Hinchliff, who was especially interested in the Timeline, our District Councillor Ken Crofton, who along with the Parish Council helped fund display cabinets, and our expert from North Herts Museum Keith Fitzpatrick Matthews.
The evening included a quiz that was won by Kim Cunningham and Catriona Evans, who took home a hamper full of Christmas Goodies.
