Britain in Pictures : Books go to war in 1940
Mike Leverton will talk about the ‘Britain in Pictures’ series of books that were published to deliver positive messages about Britain, to not only boost morale at home but also to get people around the world on our side.
126 books in total were published. MIke will introduce us to the woman whose idea it was as well as sharing the lives of one or two of the authors.
The talk will be on Thursday 24th September at 7.30pm at Walkern Sports and Community Centre.
Everyone is welcome, £3 at the door for non members. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
