On Saturday 8th November we invaded the White Lion to tell the story of Walkern’s 1848 Cuckold Riding and the riot that ensued. Amy Pryke was magnificent as Mary “Poll” Andrews, whose spiraling life caused the events.
Members of WHS and the Walkern Players supported Amy in acting out parts, playing rough music with bells, pots and pans, and creating a wonderful atmosphere.
